Srinavasa Ramanujan
- Ramanujan was born on 22 December 1887 in a poor Brahmin family in Tanjore district of Madras, India.
- He was a great Indian mathematician during the British rule in India.
- Ramanujan won Academy prize in High School and he was introduced to mathematical world in 1887-1920. Ramanujan was married in 1909. Ramanujan was so crazy with the math whenever he invented something new, he was write down nearest Hindu temple and his note book. For a long time he was going to London then he got an invention from Cambridge. Then he went to London and their he tried to bring his mathematical talent to the whole world. He began a partnership with the English mathematician G.H. Hardy during his short life.
- Srinivasa Ramanujan contributed immensely in field like number theory, mathematical analysis, string theory, infinite series and crystallography. His genius has been admired by some greatest contemporary mathematician of his time. He is held to be one of the most famous mathematician in the field of number theory. Although he lived for a short span of 32 yr, he compiled nearly 3900 phenomenal result that leave even the best mathematical bring of today in sheer awe wonder!
